In April 2021, Southwestern Academy was among the many schools in the state of California that opened classroom doors and welcomed students back to in-person instruction. The change was enthusiastically received by students and faculty alike. We regret not all students were able to return to campus due to travel restrictions and other circumstances. Additional classroom measures, as recommended by local, state, and federal health authorities, were added to the protective protocols that we already had in place and we are grateful that our school community has remained safe.

Students have enjoyed some wonderful events over the past few months – a spring break trip to Southwestern’s ranch campus, International Dinner nights, Southwestern’s 97th Anniversary and Artsfest. As the few remaining weeks of the 2020-21 school year approach, we look forward to more celebrations – the Luau on Wednesday, May 26th, the annual Track and Field/Carnival on Friday, May 28th, a Senior Celebration on Saturday, June 5th, and of course, Graduation and Commencement for the Class of 2021 on Thursday, June 10th.

Monday, May 31st is Memorial Day and a holiday from school. The week continues, June 1st-3rd with Review for Semester Exams. Second Semester Exams begin Friday, June 4th and are completed Wednesday, June 9th.  We ask that you not schedule any appointments for your student during these important days of review and testing. The last day of school is Thursday, June 10th.

A scaled down and more personalized Summer School session begins on Monday, June 14th, and continues for twelve weeks until Thursday, September 2nd.  If you are still interested in joining us for part of or the entire summer, please contact our offices,  Find out more here – SUMMER 2021

Plan now for the 2021-22 school year Opening Day on Tuesday, September 7th, and most importantly, stay safe and healthy!
