The Arts and ArtsFest Will Continue To Play an Important Role in our Community

Dear Southwestern Academy Community,

This would have been a perfect day to have ArtsFest! I went deep into the archives of ArtsFest videos and found this song by Zach and Randy performing at the 2013 ArtsFest. I thought this would be the most appropriate song to share with everyone on this beautiful day while we are in quarantine. Please think about how important the arts are in your life and to the world especially in times like today. Hopefully, in 365 days life will be back to normal for the 2021 ArtsFest not having to worry about social distancing or wearing masks with ArtsFest logos on them.

Congratulations to class of 2020 art students Nancy Zheng for being accepted to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Sam Ly for her acceptance to Otis College of Art and Design.

Congratulations also to Michael Chen(class of 2014) who designed and painted the 2013 ArtsFest mural. Michael graduated from USC’s School of Architecture in 2019 and is now a working architect in San Francisco.

Here is Zach and Randy performing “Do You Feel Like I Do?” by Peter Frampton.

Enjoy!
