MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY: Those of us who have chosen to work in the camp and/or educational setting have a wonderful opportunity to serve as role models and guide students into and through adolescence. Our success with our students is based on how well we remember and how well we learned from our own trek through this exciting, and often challenging, period of intellectual and human growth. Kids have always behaved as we/they are supposed to. While we work to develop students who can cope with the challenge of a changing world, we are also charged with the responsibility of preparing our students to become positive and contributing member of society. This is where our lessons on integrity, honesty, fairness, compassion and respect loom as large, if not more so, than the lessons of the classroom.
