I like teaching at Southwestern because: I enjoy the opportunity to teach students from all over the world and I feel that I have learned a great deal from them. The warm collegiality of faculty, staff and administration is a real plus.
My teaching philosophy: To teach is to touch the future. I am always surprised to hear from past students about the effect that my classes had on them later in life. Often it is the life lessons (about responsibility, commitment and perseverance) that stay with them longer than the content of the classes. I believe that teaching is a privilege that demands both my best effort and that of my students. And, finally that it is a lot of fun!
