My teaching philosophy: The teacher of literature exists to give young minds acess to the best that has been thought and said. When the lights go on, when the magic happens that’s when teaching is worthwhile. Also, the teacher must be tolerant and compassionate. The student is always more important than the subject, although we must often pretend otherwise.
